From Parking to Pet Relief, SAN’s Traffic Officers Share Their Top Travel Tips
Holiday Travel Tips

Your bags are packed, your car is parked, you have cleared security and you can see your departure gate. So why is your heart pounding? Rushing around can cause stress even when doing something exciting like going on vacation. But the adrenalin doesn’t have to continue pumping; here are Four Ways to Regain Your Calm at SAN:

1. Spend time in SAN’s reflection room, also known as “The Spirit of Silence.” Created by Seattle-based artist Norie Sato, The Spirit of Silence is a serene place for travelers to contemplate, meditate or pray. Located post-security in Terminal 2, the non-denominational space is sensitive to the diversity of travelers and offers a quiet respite before or after flights.

2. Pamper yourself. From chair massage to manicures and pedicures, Be Relax Spa, which has locations in Terminal 2 near Gate 26 and Gate 36, offers a full array of stress-melting services.

3. Sit back, relax and practice your observation skills. With over 550 daily flights, SAN is a great place to people-watch and plane-spot. The North Rotunda in Terminal 2 (near Gate 42) is one of several SAN locations that features leather seating with built-in outlets and ceiling-to-floor windows. Beaudevin Wine & Tapas Bar is also in this area, so you can watch comings and goings — while enjoying a glass of wine.

4. Unwind in a lounge. The amenities at Airspace Lounge SAN include food and beverage service along with a full bar, restrooms, shower, and a larger seating area. Open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. daily, Airspace Lounge is located in Terminal 2 East near Gates 23 & 33 and is accessible to all passengers for a fee. The Delta Sky Club and United Club, which are located on the second level of Sunset Cove in Terminal 2, also offer pre-flight relaxation for customers of those airlines.
